About Tracy
I’m Tracy Bender, founder of Rising Star Accounting Services, LLC. My journey into the accounting profession began long before I earned my degrees or opened my business, it started in my father’s dental practice in Elgin, Illinois. Working side‑by‑side with him, I learned every role in the office, from front desk operations to managing the entire practice. Handling the bookkeeping and financials sparked a passion I couldn’t ignore, and it ultimately shaped the career I have today.
As I pursued my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Roosevelt University and later my Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management, I continued supporting my father’s practice, gaining hands‑on experience that grounded me in real‑world financial management.
My professional path has taken me through diverse industries and roles. In Tucson, I joined Bourn Companies, where I worked closely with the accounting team on commercial real estate and development projects. Later, at Mueller & Co., a CPA firm in Illinois, I expanded my expertise across multiple industries — managing AP/AR, reconciliations, month‑end close, financial statements, and even assisting with forensic accounting projects. These experiences strengthened my technical skills and deepened my understanding of how accurate financials drive business success.
In 2016, I formed Rising Star Accounting Services, LLC with a clear mission: to provide reliable, high‑quality bookkeeping and accounting support that helps business owners focus on what they do best. While I have extensive knowledge in the dental field, I proudly serve clients across all service‑based industries.
Today, I operate remotely to offer flexible, modern support. When in‑person meetings are preferred, I meet clients at their office or a convenient public location, ensuring every interaction is professional, secure, and tailored to their needs.
My goal is simple: to take the pressure of bookkeeping off your shoulders so you can run your business with confidence, clarity, and peace of mind.
